ChronoHits is published by Studio Bitworks B.V. (collectively referred to as 'Studio Bitworks', 'we', 'us' or 'our'), a company registered in the Netherlands.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our ChronoHits mobile application and website.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to operate and improve the Game:

a. Account Information

  • Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In ID (securely authenticated via their APIs)
  • Display name or nickname
  • Guest account identifiers (device-linked)
  • Username
  • Other information you provide to us

b. Gameplay Data

  • Game progress, leaderboard scores, achievements
  • Session timestamps, gameplay statistics
  • User preferences and settings

c. Device & Technical Data

  • Device model, operating system version, IP address, language settings
  • Crash logs and analytics

d. Advertising Data

  • Ad impressions and performance metrics (via Google AdMob)
  • Device advertising ID (resettable)

e. In-App Purchases

  • Purchase receipts and transaction IDs (processed via RevenueCat / App Store / Google Play)
  • We never store your payment card details

f. Music APIs

  • When you access Apple Music or Spotify content, those platforms may collect data according to their own policies.

3. Permissions We Use

We use the following permissions to provide and improve our services:

a. Audio Playback

  • Our app needs access to play audio for the music game functionality.
  • We do NOT record or store any audio from your device.

b. Internet Access

  • Required to download game content, play music previews and enable multiplayer features.

c. Vibration

  • Used for game feedback and notifications.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Operate and personalize the Game experience
  • Display leaderboards and game progress
  • Deliver ads (in the free version)
  • Process in-app purchases and manage ad-removal
  • Analyze performance and fix bugs
  • Enable multiplayer features
  • Sending notifications
  • communicate with you about products, services, and promotional offers
  • Sending newsletters
  • Surveys (if you choose to participate)
  • Customer service
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK Users)

We process data under one or more of the following bases:

  • Performance of a contract (to provide the Game)
  • Legitimate interest (to analyze and improve services)

6. Data Retention

We keep gameplay and account data as long as your account remains active.

Your account and account information will be deleted if you do not log in for 48 (forty-eight) consecutive months.

If you request deletion, we anonymize or erase data within 90 days unless we must retain it for legal reasons. Please be aware that this action is irreversible and, once completed, you will no longer have access to any Services associated with your user account.

We may keep aggregated gameplay data indefinitely for analytics and improvement purposes.

7. Advertising and Analytics

The free version uses Google AdMob to serve ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to personalize ads where permitted.

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads via your device settings.

8. In-App Purchases

All purchases are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play via RevenueCat.

We receive confirmation of a purchase but no payment card data.

If you remove ads or buy optional content, that preference is stored securely.

9. Data Sharing

We may share limited data with:

  • Performance of a contract (to provide the Game)
  • Legitimate interest (to analyze and improve services)
  • Consent (for ads, analytics, or optional features)
  • Legal obligation (to comply with app-store or tax requirements)

All processors act under data-processing agreements consistent with the GDPR.

10. International Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located in the EU or the United States.

We use providers that apply appropriate safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Your Rights (EU/EEA/UK Users)

You have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Request correction or erasure
  • Withdraw consent for ads or analytics
  • Object to processing for legitimate interests
  • File a complaint with your local data protection authority

ChronoHits is intended for players 13 years old or the minimum age required in their country.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.

If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us to delete it.

14. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption, authentication, and access controls to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
